Data engineer job description

As a Data Engineer, you will hold a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of an organisation's data architecture system. This job involves developing, testing, and maintaining architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems. You will be expected to discover opportunities for data acquisition, develop dataset processes, and use predictive modelling to increase and optimise customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes. Key skills include a deep understanding of SQL database design and multiple programming languages, alongside strong analytical skills. Communication skills are also vital as you'll be collaborating with data scientists and analysts to turn data into critical information used to make sound business decisions. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
