Banqueting Head chef required for Hotel, this role is for the Banqueting department. With it being a banqueting kitchen role, you will get a mixture of prep days and banqueting days. Events & Functions Head chef chef, £40-45k If you are looking to get back into a permanent position or move to a banqueting role, with the cost of living - Banqueting is planned months/years in advance, prebooked weddings, functions, events etc etc. This makes it a good option for a permanent position with the post of living. This is to be hands on and lead the function team, developing the standards and modernity the function food. This kitchen covers all the food for the functions department which includes weddings, functions, events, formal dinners, conferences.
The role
As a banqueting head chef you will ensure the prep is ready for the banqueting, working with the wedding & eventscoordinator to ensure the right numbers have been booked. You will work with the wedding coordinator on the timings, diet needs. You will run the banqueting in service and ensure everything runs smoothly in service. You will be involved in developing the menus. This role will include all the normal Banqueting head chef duties.
Experience
We are looking for a Banqueting head chef or a sous chef who has a event or banqueting background. You will be organised, able to run a team in banqueting & able to drive the function food forward.
