Schools around Norfolk are seeking passionate and creative Drama Teachers to inspire students in the world of theatre and performance. The successful candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to the Drama department, helping students develop their confidence, creativity, and performance skills. This role begins February 2025.
Duties as a Drama Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across [Key Stages 3, 4, and/or 5].
* Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations, ensuring strong progress and achievement.
* Direct and support school productions, drama clubs, and extracurricular activities .
* Encourage students to develop skills in acting, scriptwriting, stagecraft, and performance analysis .
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where all students feel confident to express themselves.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Work closely with colleagues in the Performing Arts department to enhance the creative curriculum.
Ideal Drama Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Drama at secondary school level (ECTs welcome to apply).
* A strong passion for theatre and the ability to inspire students.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Drama Teacher.
* Experience directing or assisting with school productions is highly desirable.
