We are looking for an experience Drama teacher to support in one of our outstanding secondary schools, in North Manchester, this September.
Our partnered school has a drama department which is dedicated to nurturing creativity, confidence, and collaboration among our students. We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher to join their dynamic team and inspire the next generation of performers and theatre enthusiasts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver engaging drama curriculum for students of varying ages and skill levels.
* Direct and produce school plays, musicals, and other performances.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and teamwork.
* Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate drama into interdisciplinary projects.
* Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their acting, directing, and technical theatre skills.
* Organise and oversee drama club activities, workshops, and field trips.
* Stay current with theatre education trends and incorporate new techniques and technologies into your teaching.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, or a related field (master’s preferred).
* Teaching certification (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
* Strong background in both performance and technical aspects of theatre.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning styles.
* Experience directing school or community theatre productions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
