We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our Clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily kitchen operations.
* Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety practices in accordance with health regulations.
* Help with menu planning, including developing new recipes and specials to enhance the dining experience.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
* Participate in food production, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably within a restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen team.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
