We have a new opportunity to be part of our HR team in the role of H&S Training Manager.
As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all employees complete required training in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. You will develop, coordinate, and manage mandatory training initiatives to ensure that employees are knowledgeable about essential procedures, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
You will be responsible for:
* Tracking legislation to ensure updates are addressed in the training program, maintaining compliance.
* Designing and delivering effective training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety training.
* Maintaining accurate records of training activities, safety incidents, and compliance with safety regulations.
* Ensuring required systems are maintained to track and sustain compliance.
* Scheduling and managing training sessions to ensure timely completion of required training.
* Assessing the effectiveness of training programs and implementing improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
* Collaborating with department heads to identify training needs and update training programs accordingly.
* Staying informed on changes in regulations and industry standards to maintain compliance.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Proven experience in training and development, with a strong understanding of various training methods and techniques.
* Meticulous attention to detail in tracking training completion and ensuring compliance.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and implement necessary improvements.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Ability to design and deliver effective training programs, including classroom-based, virtual, and recorded solutions.
* Adaptable communication skills to tailor content to different audience needs.
* Passion for safety and proactive approach to addressing training needs.
* Inspirational and approachable, fostering a culture where employees feel comfortable discussing safety concerns and training needs.
Desirable Qualifications:
At least one of the following:
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
* NVQ/SVQ Level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health
* Health and Safety Degree
* NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (Parts 2 or Units A, B, C, and D)
* Diploma in Safety Management Level 6
Formal Training Qualification:
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
* PTLLS Level 3 (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* CITB-recognized exemption
* Experience in delivering courses such as:
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* IOSH Managing Safely (3 days) / Working Safely
* CITB courses
* SMSTS / SSSTS
* 1-Day Health and Safety Courses
Verifiable qualifications, construction experience, and a record of current and relevant CPD Health and Safety Courses.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
