Our clients operate this modern 4-star hotel in York city centre. This lovely hotel, widely regarded as one of York's finest boutique hotels, is looking to recruit an experienced Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to join the kitchen in this very talented team. You WILL learn here.
With an emphasis on local, seasonal foods, cooked using modern & interesting techniques, with the latest chefs kit, this really is a great opportunity for a career-minded chef to make a name for themselves, working in a very supportive environment for one of the region's leading independent hotels.
The ideal Junior Sous Chef will have the following attributes:
* Experience working with fresh food, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or gastro pub
* Ideally worked in a fresh food led kitchen, although a desire to learn is just as important
* Ability to demonstrate at least 1 year in a similar position, no jumpy chefs here
* Desire & attitude to learn every day, soak up the style of service, and high standards of the kitchens, bringing a sound work ethic to the team. Hard work, passion & desire are the attributes my client is looking for.
