Key Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in planning and updating menus that reflect seasonal availability and local sourcing.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols, adhering to all relevant regulations.
* Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure fresh, high-quality ingredients are consistently available.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a reputable kitchen.
* Strong understanding of British cuisine, with an emphasis on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
* Adept at multitasking and thriving under pressure during busy service periods.
