Key to the success of the EPR will be the engagement and involvement of service users and staff.
The eCare Entry Level Tester will support the testing and QA of new or new versions of Business, Infrastructure and Clinical solutions implemented across the Cornwall Healthcare Community.
They will use appropriate IM&T systems to record test processes.
They will support the production of test scripts and plans and undertake the test process as well as supporting other test teams or processes.
They will ensure that all faults and bugs identified through the test process are recorded in JIRA (or other appropriate software) and managed through to resolution.
They will provide advice and support to allied project teams and individuals on test processes.
This post is a full-time fixed term contract. You will be based onsite at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
Main duties of the job
The eCare Entry Level Tester will support the provision of a service which ensures software solutions are fit for purpose at the point of delivery. They will undertake testing activities across two Programmes, including documentation and escalation of test results, incidents and issues which arise during pre-implementation and 'go-live' periods across the two Programmes (EPR & Clinical Programme).
The eCare Entry Level Tester will be responsible for supporting the Test Team with the entirety of testing activities across the two Programmes (EPR & Clinical Programme); sharing knowledge and maintaining engagement with colleagues towards achievement within the key results areas.
They will support the production of Test Scripts and Plans and undertake the testing process as well as supporting other testing teams or processes.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to A level standard (or equivalent)
* Can demonstrate experience in a technical/testing/supporting role to Diploma Level or equivalent
* ISTQB Foundation or willing to undertake within first 3 months of employment
* On-going evidence Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* PRINCE2 or equivalent professional qualification
Experience
* Proven experience of creating test scripts, scenarios and running test cycles
* Experience of executing test scripts and scenarios
* Experience of working in a process orientated environment which is dependent on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience of communicating complex technical issues using everyday language to end users.
* Structured testing experience in multi system environment
* Experience of working in the NHS in an informatics or testing role
Special Knowledge
* Practical knowledge of bug or fault recording software packages and process (e.g., JIRA/Zephyr)
* Able to learn new systems quickly and effectively.
* Effective user of Microsoft Office document production applications with advanced IT skills for software systems manipulation
* Able to work in a busy environment and meet testing deadlines.
* Ability to interact with and present data to staff at all levels.
* Practical knowledge of project management procedures - ideally PRINCE2 and Agile.
* Knowledge of the NHS and awareness of Health Informatics developments
