They are seeking a passionate and skilled Head Chef – Designate to join their dynamic kitchen team, working across all 7 sites with view to a permanent, static head chef position.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fresh food cooking and a genuine enthusiasm for creating delicious, high-quality dishes.
As Head Chef - Designate, you will work closely with their Executive Head Chefs to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintain their high standards, and contribute to the creation of new and exciting menu items.
Are you the right person for the job?
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a similar role, preferably in a pub or restaurant with a focus on fresh food
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Creative and passionate about food with a keen eye for detail
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
What will your role look like?
Assist in daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to our standards and procedures
Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stocking of supplies
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef to develop and refine menu items, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients
Monitor and manage kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards
