This role will be to cater 1400 meals a day, this will include nursery to senior school as well as staff. You will also be catering for events Key Responsibilities:
* Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
* Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance
* Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
* Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
* Adhering to food hygiene and health & safety policies.
* Order supplies and stock inventory as needed
* Deep knowledge of cooking methods, equipment, ingredients, and procedures
* Formal culinary training is a plus
* Ability to problem-solve on the spot and give clear directions
About You:
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Able to manage a team and kitchen operations.
* Proficiency in nutrition, portion control, food planning, and preparation.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and suppliers.
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate
* An innate passion for food and cooking, with a creative and innovative approach to menu creation.
