Job Role - Senior Kosher Head Chef
Location: Finchley, London
Hours: Mixture of shifts, 06:00-16:00 - Monday-Friday
Salary: £40,000-£60,000
Requirements - Experience with Kosher meals and preferably IDDSI qualification.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IDDSI qualified and experienced Head Chef to join our Hospitality team cooking Kosher foods. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment managing three to four team members.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established Senior Culinary Director with a strong understanding of finance and budgeting to take on a key leadership role in our site operation. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menus, improve efficiency, and increase revenue.
Main Objectives:
* To ensure that all food produced meets the highest standards, incorporating innovative approaches to meet market trends, cultural requirements, and Kashrut laws.
* To maintain exceptional food hygiene and Health & Safety practices, monitoring and recording adherence to organisational policies and current legislation.
* To administer unit controls within agreed parameters, consistently seeking ways to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of the service.
* To lead, motivate, and encourage team building to achieve qualitative outcomes and exceed customer service expectations.
* To deputise for the Chef in their absence, fulfilling their responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications:
* Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment, both independently and as part of a team.
* Appropriate supervisory experience and relevant qualifications in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services (NVQ Level 2 or 3).
* Energetic, passionate, and proactive attitude, with experience working to deadlines and adhering to stringent quality standards.
* Understanding of the challenges and sensitivity needed to care for vulnerable people.
Salary Package: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
