Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Join Our Team as a Data Engineer!
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
Contract: Fixed-Term (12 months)
Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office per week (subject to business requirements)
As a key player in our IS Grocery Service Centre team, you'll drive data excellence by designing, developing, and maintaining efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to empower our business with meaningful insights. Key Accountabilities
1. Data Pipeline Development: Design and build robust pipelines to collect, transform, and load data.
2. ETL Processes: Develop and enhance ETL processes for accuracy and integrity.
3. Data Modelling: Work with analysts to design models that align with business needs.
4. Database Management: Administer and optimise databases for performance and security.
5. Technical Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot pipeline and ETL issues.
6. Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
7. Collaboration: Work with analysts and business users to shape data solutions.
8. Performance Monitoring: Optimise data pipelines and address bottlenecks.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging data technologies and best practices.
10. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for workflows and processes.
The Right Person
1. 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer or in a related IT role.
2. Expertise in T-SQL, SQL Server, Management Studio, and Visual Studio.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Stack, Power Platform & Azure Cloud Data Services.
4. Hands-on experience with SSIS, Data Factory & ETL frameworks.
5. Strong problem-solving skills & ability to tackle technical challenges.
6. Great collaboration & communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks & projects simultaneously.
8. ITIL certified/qualified.
9. Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
