- Contract (12 months) will oversee and contribute to developing training resources in support of the professional development of the Knowledge Community.
The role-holder will be responsible for legal and industry training per the Firm and Knowledge strategy.

Responsibilities: Legal and Industry Training: Identify and implement initiatives to support the development of lawyers at all levels in legal and industry knowledge and understanding, particularly within the context of and aligned with the Firm's Quality initiative and continued focus on quality Implement initiatives to support the continued development of a high-quality client training program and supporting materials Address engagement with training through collaborative working with key stakeholders and supporting the improvement of the volume, use, relevancy, and quality of training, including legal and industry group training as well as training on Knowledge Resources Assist in the implementation of a comprehensive quality program that aligns with firm-wide standards, including overseeing and contributing to the development of training resources relating to the Firm's quality initiative Enable a close working relationship between Knowledge and Leadership and Learning (L&L) to develop, improve, and maintain a high-quality legal training service benefitting lawyers and clients and the Knowledge community, optimizing efficiency, innovation, Knowledge and L&L systems and use of Services teams in the Centers Oversee the governance of training content throughout its lifecycle according to the Firm's Content & Expertise strategy, driving adherence to appropriate policies, standards, and best practice, and ensuring the accessibility and inclusivity of training to and for all Service Orientation: Support the Knowledge leadership team in the development of legal training strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with Firm and Knowledge strategies so that Knowledge continues to evolve, best meets the needs of stakeholders and adds real value to the business Work closely with: The L&L team to ensure seamless collaboration and output of products, services to lawyers and clients, cross-functional approaches, and projects The Knowledge community to implement the training strategies and to ensure support of the delivery of their training strategies The Service teams in the Centers to ensure consistency of the quality of legal training support services Ensure the design, governance, structure, quality, and alignment of legal, industry and other relevant training takes place and does so per policy and best practice, as well as the leveraging and promotion of that content in new and innovative ways Deliver appropriate training in support of the Firm strategic priorities in support of lawyer service delivery, including the Firm's quality program Work with L&L to ensure the findability and accessibility of live and on-demand training resources, enabled by suitable, high-quality, technology Ensure there are proper levels of engagement with training by attorneys, establishing proactive feedback and ongoing development of training materials; constantly working towards improving the customer experience and making sure that user feedback is incorporated Ensure training is accessible and inclusive for all Build new and developing existing, strong, and productive relationships in the Knowledge and L&L community and business ensuring attentive listening and clear communication Drive change and efficiency across the Knowledge community, ensuring that the business is ready to adopt and accept change, using appropriate change management strategies Be known in the Firm as an expert and go-to person for the resolution of issues and business solutions for legal training Support all such other training needs as may be required from time to time Knowledge & Expertise: Maintain and continually develop subject matter expertise with high levels of practical end-user engagement and delivery, actively aware of developments within the market, Knowledge systems, new practices and approaches, and the legal arena, actioning any relevant implications Understand and document the complex and evolving business requirements of attorneys and Knowledge professionals across the Baker McKenzie network Work with Knowledge and business stakeholders to map legal training requirements and design workable solutions based on Knowledge and L&L tools, systems, and processes Operational efficiencies, quality, and risk mitigation: Manage legal training to maintain quality assurance and minimize business impact and risk, escalating any challenges promptly where appropriate Oversee the development of training content to improve knowledge and use of Knowledge content.
Define policies, best practice, and guidance for legal training in collaboration with L&L Contribute to global communications on initiatives to enable cross-cultural working, identifying and overcoming cultural differences to deliver workable solutions Support all business aspects of legal training's lifecycle's implementation and development Ensure and plan for continual improvement and evolution of legal training Implement processes and solutions for measuring the effectiveness/ROI of training programs Work with training stakeholders to ensure training materials are accessible via the relevant learning and Knowledge platforms Skills and Experience: A relevant bachelor's degree Qualified as a lawyer with strong post-qualification experience or significant relevant experience working in knowledge management and learning within a law firm Able to work well with others and to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders quickly Experience in facilitating groups and training Outstanding communicator who can deal confidently, tactfully, and appropriately with people at all levels of the organization Credible and persuasive with excellent presentation skills Experience in leading and managing projects and people Comfortable working within a large and complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and interest groups Demonstrated ability to drive results and a sense of urgency in setting strategies and executing against the objectives Significant experience in designing and implementing legal training solutions in a law firm environment is desirable Fluent written and spoken English is required To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
