What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Experience of Splunk or Power BI build and development to ensure we can maximise the technology available.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Experience of relevant data sources, tools and systems, approaches for verifying and validating data.
Experience of building team capability through role modelling, mentoring or coaching.
Desirable criteria (it's great if you've got these - if not, you can learn them here)
Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
Understanding of ITIL and/or IT service management.
Line management experience.
You and your role
You'll be joining our Service Performance team, which monitors services across DWP's digital landscape of over 700 software applications and systems.
You will be using Splunk, PowerBI, and ServiceNow to collate, review and draw insights on services, developing dashboards that are essential to our wider teams and stakeholders.
You will also be prototyping, and demonstrating the possibilities of data visualisation.
This is an opportunity to be creative and innovative, potentially bringing in new tooling ideas, data items and ways of working to bring data to life and championing new ways of working, data solutions and stakeholder engagement.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Manchester, or Newcastle-upon-Tyne, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £73,517.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £21,246 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days and rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
