Drama Teacher Required - Secondary School in Sutton - January 2025 Start A vibrant secondary school in the lively borough of Sutton is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Drama Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire students to explore the world of drama and develop their performance skills. Creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment that encourages students to take risks, build confidence, and express themselves through various dramatic forms. Directing and producing school productions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and experience the magic of theatre. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners. Contributing to the development and enrichment of the Drama curriculum and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives. The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Drama curriculum. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for drama and theatre education. Proven ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
