Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
* Manage inventory and order supplies while keeping cost controls in mind.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
* Develop and introduce new recipes and menus, reflecting seasonal availability and current culinary trends.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent cooking skills with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
* Creativity and passion for food and culinary arts.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
