Ashley Kate are pleased to be working with an established and fast-growing manufacturing client in Tamworth on an additional HR Generalist role for their site. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be part of a well-established HR function and involved in driving the HR strategy. You will work closely with managers and employees across the business on all employee relations (ER) related matters and the recruitment strategy.
Based on-site, this role will ideally suit an experienced HR Officer/Advisor looking for a fresh challenge. Salary is £30k - £35k depending on experience.
HR Generalist - About the role
You will be working with the HR Manager to review all HR policies, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
Provide guidance to managers on all employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance (D&G), performance management, and absence. This will also involve investigation meetings and referrals, so you must be confident in dealing with ER.
A key part of the role will be HR analytics and reporting, working closely with the HR & Payroll Administrator to ensure payroll data and related records are accurate and up to date.
You will need to build relationships across the business, from warehouse colleagues to senior leadership teams, so strong communication skills are essential.
Working alongside the incumbent HR Generalist, you will drive the recruitment strategy and must be comfortable with the end-to-end process, from writing job descriptions and conducting interviews to onboarding.
Support the HR Assistant in reviewing training requests and ensuring that training needs analysis (TNA) are identified and met.
HR Generalist - About you
* You must have a proven background in a HR Officer/HR Advisor role.
* Experience with blue and white-collar workforces such as manufacturing, FMCG, construction, or retail is ideal.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law is essential.
* You should be a strong and personable communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Hands-on experience with HR systems and comfort with analytics and reporting is required.
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is key for this role.
