The Director, Human Resources for EMEA reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer will lead the strategic direction and partner with the leadership team of the EMEA operations to drive proactive, strategic, forward-thinking solutions to accelerate business growth and results globally. This role has multi-site responsibility across Europe that includes but is not limited to the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Germany. This is a full-time permanent position with flexibility to work hybrid. Must be able to commute regularly to our Hillcrest site which is in Belton, just outside Loughborough. Support the development and execution of Inotiv HR strategies & initiatives to drive the business goals and annual operations plan (AOP) objectives in the various areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and skills development, compensation, and organizational development. Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple senior leaders and employees within a complex business environment, including supporting multiple organizations across a global footprint. Ensure focus on employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, succession planning, employee development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate. Demonstrate thought leadership while successfully directing efforts in organization and people-related challenges. Support merger and acquisition (M&A) activities in a high growth environment. Pro-actively deliver compensation, organizational design and strategies for workforce planning, deployment, and retention, to address current and future expansion needs of the business, while simultaneously ensuring a diverse and globally oriented workforce. Drive the implementation and deployment of effective corporate HR procedures, policies, systems, standards, and infrastructures, to ensure a systematic and integrated approach to HR solutions across the business unit. Lead diversity initiatives and coach leadership on how to leverage talent and teams across the organization. Understand and articulate key labor issues and employment law for our various countries / regions. Recommend actions/changes as required to meet business results/strategies and ensure compliance. Champion a culture of growth, conduct organizational assessments and upgrade talent through strategic staffing and talent 'pipeline' development. Ensure compliance with applicable HR-related legal requirements. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, labor relations, organizational development, or other similar discipline. Master’s degree preferred. 10 years of experience in Human Resources. 5 years in leadership position overseeing multiple sites across European countries. This position’s preferred location is in the greater Birmingham, United Kingdom area with the opportunity for a flexible work environment. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time across European countries. A strong bias for action, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive results in a matrixed organizational environment. Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, assessing leadership talent and effectively communicating and collaborating with high-level business and operations leaders. History of proactively creating strategies with solid knowledge of, and experience in, EMEA employment laws and regulations. Self-motivation and strong interpersonal/communication/influential skills with an emphasis on relationship/team/ partnership building. Decisive and assertive with the ability to provide flexible, creative solutions in a complex environment. English fluency required, one or more additional regional languages preferred but not required Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs. Proven experience building and transforming an organization and culture; Strong advocate and leader of change. Outstanding communication, coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
