Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest quality of dishes are served to our guests. Responsibilities
1. Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards.
2. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
3. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
4. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
6. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
7. Collaborate with other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
8. Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality promptly and professionally.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
2. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and food safety standards.
3. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
4. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork within the hospitality sector.
6. A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
