We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English/Drama Teacher to join a vibrant school. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in both English and Drama across KS3 and KS4, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for literature and performance. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an English/Drama Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English and Drama in line with the National Curriculum.
* Inspire and engage students in reading, writing, performance, and theatrical expression.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
* Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities such as drama productions and literary clubs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance both the English and Drama departments.
* Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.
Ideal English/Drama Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Experience teaching English and Drama at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature, theatre, and performance.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills as an English/Drama Teacher.
* A commitment to student progress and achievement.
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
