About the Role
As our Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Murray family, playing a key role in managing the kitchen performance, driving food innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. Your ability to work independently and take initiative will be essential in managing smooth kitchen operations, creating new dishes, and maintaining consistency, even under pressure.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
* Leading the kitchen to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
* Managing food stocks, ordering, and budgets with precision.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies.
* Creating and implementing innovative menus, reflecting current trends and local produce.
* Running a smooth and efficient kitchen service during shifts.
* Adapting to and implementing changes to menus, specials, and dish delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
* A passion for high-quality food, customer service, and hospitality.
* A creative chef with the ability to work to different levels of food service.
* Proven leadership skills with at least 3 years of leadership experience in a kitchen team and the ability to manage independently when required.
* A calm and proactive approach under pressure, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* A keen eye for detail and an appreciation for high standards in all aspects of kitchen operations.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and build a cohesive team.
* A flexible and resilient individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
* A leader who understands the importance of working with the other departments as a unified team in order to deliver excellent customer service and business performance.
