Description
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations and compliance across Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Romania. The EMEA HR Generalist fosters a compliant, inclusive, and high-performing workplace by ensuring seamless execution of HR processes and policies. They also contribute to enhancing the unique employee experience at Human8.
As a trusted resource for employees and People Leaders, the EMEA HR Generalist provides guidance on various HR matters, including employee relations, talent acquisition, and talent management.
Reporting to the EMEA P&C Partner, this role combines operational expertise with collaborative skills, ensuring HR activities align with organizational goals and deliver value to employees and leaders. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of employment legislation in at least two of the listed countries to effectively navigate the complexities of the regional workforce.

Responsibilities
Employee relations
* Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
* Address and resolve employee relations matters in collaboration with the P&C Partner, ensuring fairness and consistency.
* Manage the HR ticketing system, maintaining proactive communication and ensuring timely resolution of employee issues.
* Act as a trusted advisor to employees, handling sensitive matters with discretion and empathy.
HR data management & reporting
* Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making and improve HR practices.
* Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the process.
Compliance
* Ensure HR practices and policies align with local labor laws and organizational standards across Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Romania.
* Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure compliance with workplace safety, labor regulations, and internal policies.
* Manage compliance-related reporting, including participation in company surveys and external audits.
* Stay up to date on changes in employment legislation in the region, proactively updating HR policies and advising People Leaders to ensure organizational compliance.
* Act as a subject matter expert on compliance matters, offering clear interpretations of legal and regulatory requirements.
Talent Acquisition
* Partner with People Leaders to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies together with the Talent Acquisition team.
Talent Management
* Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
* Oversee offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and the processing of final documentation.
* Assist with performance management processes and coordinating training programs.
* Provide support for the salary review and bonus allocation process.
Qualifications
* HR Knowledge and Compliance: In-depth understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws across multiple countries in the region, with expertise in at least two of the listed countries’ legislation. Proven ability to interpret legislation and ensure alignment with organizational policies and local regulations.
* Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations, including resolving conflicts, and handling sensitive issues with fairness and consistency.
* Talent Management: Knowledge of performance management, training coordination, career development, and employee engagement initiatives.
* HRIS and Data Management: Proficiency in HR information systems with the ability to maintain accurate employee records, manage workflows, and generate insightful reports.
* Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze HR metrics, identify trends, and use data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.
* Problem-Solving Ability: Adept at identifying solutions for employee concerns and managing complex HR issues with discretion and professionalism.
* Execution and Results Orientation: Action-oriented and proactive, with a proven ability to take ownership of initiatives, ensure timely implementation, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences across all levels of the organization.

Relevant Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist human resources role.
* Masters degree or equivalent preferred.
