A bit about what you will do...
Sushi Preparation:
Expertly prepare and present
various sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls,
ensuring adherence to our established recipes and quality standards.
Ingredient Management:
Oversee the selection, storage, and handling of all
sushi-related ingredients, maintaining the highest standards of freshness and
quality.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate sushi
production with other kitchen activities, ensuring timely and efficient service
during peak hours.
Training and Mentorship:
Provide guidance and training to junior sushi chefs and kitchen
staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Menu Development:
Collaborate with the executive chef in developing and refining
sushi menu items, contributing innovative ideas that align with our brand's
culinary vision.
More about you...
* A
minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a fine dining
* Proficient
in traditional Japanese sushi techniques, with a strong understanding of
ingredient pairings and flavour profiles
* Adopt a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the kitchen as needs indicate.
* Strong attention to detail.
* You value being part of a team and supporting your colleagues.
