Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing daily menus that cater to a variety of dietary needs and preferences
2. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
3. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
4. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations
5. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen costs effectively
6. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
7. Collaborate with the staff to gather feedback and continuously improve the dining experience
Qualifications:
1. Possess strong leadership and team management skills
2. Have excellent organizational and time-management abilities
3. Be knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene standards
4. Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude
5. Have previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a staff dining or high-volume catering environment
6. Culinary qualifications are preferred but not essential
