Our client, an oil and gas operator, is hiring for a HR Generalist to join the team in Aberdeen on a contract basis.
Role Summary
To provide expert guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Key responsibilities, tasks and activities
1. Provide specialist advice to management and employees on collective employee relations issues.
2. Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding policies and procedures.
3. Review and update existing employee relations policies/procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practices.
4. Develop new policies as needed, ensuring alignment with values.
5. Collaborate with PO network locally and globally as needed to build awareness of policies and pending legislation, eg Harassment.
6. Support in the co-ordination of the UK Works Council to drive employee engagement.
7. Keep abreast of any changes or developments in UK employment law and update UK PO network.
8. Other ad-hoc projects or tasks as needed.
Critical Skills and Behaviours
1. Strong HR knowledge (CIPD qualification or equivalent).
2. Strong competence in Employee Relations.
3. Experience in supporting offshore/operational teams in addition to onshore teams.
4. Negotiations and diplomacy skills.
5. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Ability to interact and connect in a global matrix organization.
7. A proactive, self-motivated and delivery-oriented team player.
