Digital Learning Designer
We are seeking a creative and innovative Digital Learning Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging digital learning experiences for our employees.
Contract: 12 month FTC
Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.
Salary: Circa £43,000
Reporting to: Learning and Development Manager
Location: London Docklands
Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.
As a Digital Learning Designer, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and colleagues to design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective digital learning solutions for various internal audiences and platforms.
You’ll work across all aspects of L&D in collaboration with the L&D Partners and Strategic People Partners.
The key to success in this role is to apply instructional design principles, learning theories, and best practice to create learner-centric and outcome-oriented digital learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing, developing, and evaluating fitting digital or hybrid learning solutions across all areas of the organisation.
* Collaborating with internal subject matter experts, stakeholders, and colleagues to conduct training needs analysis, define learning objectives, and evaluate learning outcomes.
* Working closely with and advising the Learning Partners about effective digital learning wraparounds.
* Managing multiple digital learning projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and budget compliance.
* Managing external partnerships including working with external suppliers to build access to best-in-class L&D products and services.
* Supporting with the procuring & tendering process for all digitally related contracts/systems.
* Keeping your knowledge up to date to build relevant content and delivery platforms.
* Staying up to date on the latest trends and innovations in digital learning and technology.
* Managing the learning & journeys module within Workday to ensure a suitable customer experience during use.
* Generating, interpreting, and presenting digital learning analytics to stakeholders.
* Continuously ensuring all our internal digital learning content is updated.
* UK travel will be required.
Minimum Criteria:
* Experience of Digital Design and development.
* Good understanding of UX/UI design including authoring tools and their capabilities.
* Secure understanding of bringing a visual experience to life within authoring tools.
* Previous digital learning content using storyboards and various digital tools.
* Being solutions-oriented and able to collaborate effectively within a team.
* Working in an efficient and resilient manner.
* Working to deadlines, with awareness of Agile/project management methodologies.
* Creative and innovative with a passion for generating new ideas.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in building a learning culture or uplifting the learning offering in an organisation.
* Experience managing projects under explicit frameworks (Agile, Scrum or other frameworks).
* Experience from the finance industry.
* Wider graphic design experience involving asset creating and theming to support UI.
* Animation experience (Vyond, Synthesia, After Effects).
