What’s involved?
As Sous Chef, you’ll wear many hats, but all contribute to creating a smooth-running kitchen.
You’ll be responsible for covering for the Head Chef during their absences, ensuring both profit margins and food costs stay on track.
Your mornings will be spent getting the preparations done for lunch service, whilst overseeing breakfast. Collaboration is key in this role, as you’ll work with other chefs to plan and create menus.
You’ll also be responsible for maintaining kitchen hygiene and organisation, managing stock for your section, and training junior kitchen staff to ensure the high standards are maintained.
