At wetherspoon, we`re really passionate about what we do. We believe offering fantastic service, serving good food and drink and creating a great atmosphere for our customers to be of the utmost importance.
We also believe that promoting from within is one of the keys to our success. That`s why we are always on the look-out for shining stars: employees who are friendly, motivated, passionate team players who will share our commitment to achieving our aims and growing the business. Plus, with our really big plans, over the next few years, to open lots more pubs and bars across the UK, we have fantastic opportunities for everyone.
The job...
As a kitchen manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Your number-one priority will be making sure that our customers receive hot, tasty food, within our 10-minute service aim. You will work with the team to ensure that the kitchen is well stocked, prepared and ready to go - on every shift. You`ll need to be super organised for our busy club nights too!
You`ll also have overall responsibility for maintaining the high standards of the kitchen, by ensuring, at all times, that it is clean and hygienic and that, most importantly, equipment is well maintained and safe.
Of course, there`s a great deal more that you`ll be expected to do, such as training and supporting the team, dealing with office administration, controlling stock and receiving deliveries, among many other things. Don`t worry, though, since we`re just as passionate about our people: as long as you have the drive and commitment, we will train you, on every aspect of the job, through our award-winning training programme.
Some key strengths which you must have...
At wetherspoon, we`ve found that there are some key strengths which you must have to become a successful manager. To succeed, you will need to be a customer-focused, driven, committed, passionate (like us!), professional team player.
