Head Chef - required for a Rosette level kitchen using local seasonal produce, live in available. Gloucestershire - Rosette level - A seasonal fresh restaurant in the Gloucestershire area is currently recruiting a Head Chef. The restaurant is Rosette standard and has an excellent reputation which the Head Chef will uphold. If you love seasonal produce, plus local produce, this is the role for you.
The role:
As Head Chef, you will be fully responsible for running the kitchen within the restaurant. You will lead the team from the front and be hands-on in the kitchen whilst still ensuring targets are hit and all normal paperwork is completed. You will have input into the menus and prepare specials as well. This is a small team, so it is a hands-on role; you will be doing prep and cooking in service, not just running the pass. This role will include all the normal duties.
Experience:
We are looking for a Head Chef from a high volume but also fine dining background or a senior sous chef ready to step up to a Head Chef role with a Rosette level of cooking or equivalent experience is preferred for the position, as is experience controlling a busy kitchen. This is a hands-on role, so as a Head Chef, you must be happy to be hands-on cooking; this is not an office Head Chef role.
