Lakeview Grange is a luxurious 55 bedded residential and dementia care home based in Chichester, West Sussex.
We pride ourselves on understanding our residents' preferences and catering to their individual needs. Our chefs visit residents upon arrival and work with them to create a personalized menu cycle.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Catering or equivalent QCF qualification, working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, and experience in managing a kitchen team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing and managing a full kitchen team, ensuring efficient kitchen services and adherence to Health and Safety measures.
* Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining cost-effective stock control systems.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas.
* Ensuring safe working procedures and practices in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
* Assisting the General Manager in resolving complaints concerning the catering service.
Additional requirements include actively participating in events held in the home, liaising with the General Manager and Activities Coordinator to ensure nutrition and hydration needs are met.
Key attributes:
* Level 3 in Catering or equivalent QCF qualification
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
* Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable
* Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and work under pressure
* Ability to communicate and manage interpersonal relationships, including influencing skills
* Reasonable access outside working hours in emergency situations
