Position Overview
The ERP Testing Automation Lead will join a small team of business function process leads, IT domain leaders, and ERP vendor representatives known as the Program Initiation Team. The team will work closely together to achieve common objectives, ultimately leading to the initiation of the global program and the creation of all the articles needed to launch the project in 2025. Purpose: The purpose of this role is to manage the creation of an automated testing strategy and plan to support the new ERP solution within RL. The role will involve working with the small team and the preferred ERP vendor to achieve objectives including:
1. Create a detailed understanding of the current RL IT AS-IS application environment across all 3 regions.
2. Create a detailed understanding of the current RL IT AS-IS infrastructure environment across all 3 regions.
3. Creation of an interim state framework for the transition to the TO-BE status.
4. Agree on how the current systems will be maintained during the interim state.
5. Definition of the migration package, toolset, scope, and approach for the new platform rollout.
6. Finalize the scope of the TO-BE ERP system and dependencies on edge systems.
7. Define operational requirements to meet business needs.
8. Create an automated testing strategy to speed up system acceptance and improve quality.
9. Establish an application documentation repository.
10. Create an overview of the data migration approach.
11. Identify the impact of the new NGT ERP system on data analytics and reporting.
12. Design and implement a Cyber Security framework for the Hybrid cloud.
13. Create and implement transition support documentation with clear responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
1. Work with IT, business, and vendor teams to agree on testing requirements.
2. Create a clear picture of the current AS-IS environment and automation opportunities.
3. Create a strategy for automated testing and define team structure.
4. Define testing dependencies for interim and migration frameworks.
5. Ensure testing can replicate peak business trading volumes.
6. Obtain clear expectations on automation service timing.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* 8 Strategic cycles with a proven track record in a related role.
* Experience within a SAP AFS and/or S4 environment.
* Knowledge of leading methodologies, tools, and practices.
* Experience in a vertically integrated retail environment; fashion apparel experience is desirable.
* Adept at translating complex concepts into actionable plans.
* Ability to engage with and influence senior executives.
* Strong analytical skills and strategic decision-making.
* Pragmatic problem solver, thrives under pressure, and multitasking.
* Strong strategic vision with a hands-on approach.
* Can be based in UK/CH/NY/NJ.
