Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be partnering with a leading manufacturer based in the York area as they look to bring on a Head of Talent & Organisational Development. This is a unique opportunity to drive workforce strategy, build a sustainable talent pipeline, and enhance leadership development in a dynamic, forward-thinking business.
As Head of Talent & Organisational Development, you’ll play a critical role in delivering the company’s strategic people agenda. You’ll lead a team of talent and learning professionals, collaborating with senior leaders to ensure the business attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Reporting into the HR Director, the responsibilities of the Head of Talent & Organisational development will include:
* Organisational Development – Lead capability planning, develop competency frameworks, and champion diversity and inclusion
* Talent Strategy – Design and implement workforce planning strategies, partner with external stakeholders, and drive initiatives to attract diverse talent
* Learning & Development – Oversee leadership programmes, enhance performance management tools, and create impactful training portfolios
* Operational Excellence – Manage budgets, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership
Key Skills & Experience required:
* Proven experience in a senior Talent, L&D, or Organisational Development role.
* Industry experience within Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering essential
* CIPD (or equivalent) qualified
* Experience of working with HR Platforms such as UKG, Zellis and LMS
* Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in HR people management, development, and recruitment practices
* Ability for regular travel across sites in the UK and Ireland
