Training Manager
Maternity Cover - Monday – Friday

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to take accountability for all aspects of the Learning and Development Agenda for our Preston, Riverside & Cold Stores sites, on a temporary maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will coordinate all training activities, ensuring all employees possess the experience and skills necessary to achieve the site objectives. You will also be responsible for the management of the site's training team. This will include supporting, motivating, and coaching staff to ensure work is completed in line with the site's excellent standards.
Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
1. Oversee the Training function, ensuring that all workers are trained in the relevant areas and that the Training database is up to date at all times
2. Compile and maintain a site-wide TNA (training needs analysis)
3. Support the existing Apprenticeship and Graduate programmes
4. Provide coaching and support to Operational and Training teams
5. Assist the annual performance review process and ensure that all performance documents are logged, training needs are analysed and development plans are put in place
6. Deliver company inductions and in house training to staff (where required)
7. Monitor training quality for all production and associated areas
8. Ensure that the monthly and quarterly training KPIs are completed and analysed
9. Liaise with the Technical and Health, Safety and Environment departments in respect of updates and changes in SOP’s policies and procedures relating to food safety, legality and quality
10. Supporting during internal/external audits, providing evidence of training documents, completed training, training procedures
Skills/Experience Required:
11. Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent training qualification)
12. Proven track record of managing a Training function and/or supervising a team
13. Health and safety awareness
14. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
15. 5+ years training experience desirable
