The Bothy is aScottish restaurant set in a beautiful 150-year-old converted farmhouse in the heart of Glasgow’s West end.
We are looking for an ambitious and creative sous chef to support & learn from our experienced and talented head chef.
Working with the best produce Scotland has to offer delivered by award winning suppliers. Every dish is made from scratch in our newly refurbished kitchen. We fillet and bone whole fish and meat is butchered in-house. Our menus change seasonally, and you will have input into new dishes on our a la carte menu. Expect to learn new skills and techniques and be challenged every day.

Job Overview:As aSous Chefyou will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our kitchen. You will work alongside our Head Chef to deliver exceptional dishes, maintain high standards, and lead a team of dedicated chefs. We’re looking for someone with a love for fresh, seasonal ingredients, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to inspire others.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assistthe Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistency.
* Contribute tomenu development with creative and seasonal dishes.
* Lead and mentorthe kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
* Overseefood preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes meet our high standards.
* Maintaina safe, clean, and organised kitchen, complying with all health and safety regulations.
* Assist withordering, inventory management, and food cost control.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experienceas a Sous Chef or a Senior Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.
* Strong culinary skillswith a passion for working with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
* Leadership abilitieswith a focus on teamwork and development.
