Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Retail Development Director, the role of Strategic Recruitment Manager is to identify optimal locations for new SPAR stores and optimise our existing store network in line with strategic objectives. You will leverage data-driven insights to inform critical business decisions that drive growth and profitability.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Planning
* Collaborate with the team and senior leaders to develop and implement store recruitment strategies that align with the overall business objectives and drive sales and profitability growth.
Site Selection:
* Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify high-potential areas for new store recruitment.
* Utilise geographic information systems and other analytical tools to assess demographic, economic, and competitive factors.
* Develop detailed site selection criteria and scoring models to evaluate potential locations.
* Collaborate with property teams to negotiate favourable lease terms and secure prime retail spaces where appropriate.
Store Network Optimization:
* Analyse existing store performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Develop strategies to optimise store network density and coverage.
* Conduct trade area analysis to understand customer catchment areas and identify underserved markets.
Data Analysis and Insights:
* Utilise advanced data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights.
* Develop predictive models to forecast future sales and customer behaviour.
* Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of store location strategies.
Financial Oversight:
* Ensure that the departmental targets are achieved.
Collaboration:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align store location decisions with overall business objectives.
* Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
Generic Responsibilities:

Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
* High retail knowledge and experience.
* Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
* Educated to degree level preferred but not essential.
* High level of numeracy and analytical ability is essential.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build strong working relationships is essential.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic, and upholds the company values and principles.
* Able to work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues whilst also having the initiative and confidence to work independently.
* Has a flexible approach to working hours.
* Keen problem-solving skills / creative thinking.
