We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Executive to join our Client based n Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in telecoms or technical sales to play a key role in driving business growth, maintaining client relationships, and supporting project delivery across a wide range of infrastructure solutions.
About the Role
As a Sales Executive, you will take the lead on telecoms-related sales activity—managing enquiries, coordinating project bids, and strengthening relationships with both new and existing clients. You will work closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction, accurate forecasting, and efficient delivery. You'll also gather and share industry insights to help shape commercial strategy and support wider business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of sales activity in the communications infrastructure sector
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
* Identify new business opportunities through industry networking and lead generation
* Lead bid preparations in collaboration with estimating and technical teams
* Promote the organisation’s full range of capabilities within telecoms and specialist structures
* Track the progress and status of live and upcoming projects
* Maintain up-to-date CRM records and contribute to sales forecasts and targets
* Monitor and manage project leads using platforms such as Glenigan
* Follow up on quotations and track purchase orders
* Coordinate real-time updates on deliveries and manage customer expectations
* Provide internal reporting, including customer feedback and monthly updates
* Offer commercial and financial support to the Key Account Manager as needed
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Previous sales experience, ideally in the telecoms or infrastructure sector
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong telephone manner and the ability to handle challenging conversations
* Confident in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Office 365
* Solid understanding of UK geography
Desirable:
* Experience using CRM platforms
* Familiarity with bid or tender processes
* Background in engineering or technical sales
* A-Level, T-Level, or BTEC qualification
