Role Description
:
You’ll have (Qualification & Experience):
1. Proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud services.
2. Experience of managing small teams whilst also being hands-on.
3. Strong database fundamentals including SQL/TSQL, performance and schema design.
4. Experience architecting and building data applications using Azure, specifically a Data Warehouse and/or Data Lake.
5. Technologies : Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks and Power BI. Experience with creating low-level designs for data platform implementations.
6. ETL pipeline development for the integration with data sources and data transformations including the creation of supplementary documentation.
7. Proficiency in working with APIs and integrating them into data pipelines.
8. Strong programming skills in Python.
9. Experience of data wrangling such as cleansing, quality enforcement and curation. using Azure Synapse notebooks, Databricks, etc.
10. Experience of data modelling to describe the data landscape, entities and relationships.
11. Experience with data migration from legacy systems to the cloud.
12. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) particularly with Terraform.
13. Proficient in the development of Power BI dashboards.
14. Strong focus on documentation and diagramming (. ERDs).
15. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
It would be great if you have:
16. Knowledge of metadata management ideally with experience of creating and managing data catalogues, dictionaries and glossaries.
17. An Azure certification,. DP-900, AZ-900
