The role We are looking for a Lead Learning Designer to join our CBC team. You’ll design a compelling, highly-valuable roadmap of course titles for school leaders, using your natural curiosity and empathy to get to know your audience’s training needs better than anyone else. You will Course roadmapping Design a high-value, commercially winning roadmap of course titles, based on sharp user research, expert sector awareness and deep audience empathy Your roadmap should bring new customers to The Key, and easily engage and appeal to our existing audience Learning design and content creation Secure expert trainers to deliver your online, live classes. You’ll optimise their real-life expertise and tease out the skills that your audience need to build to succeed - but the learning experience is owned by you Design a skills-based, immersive and practical learning experience, based on the most current learning design principles and your own ambition and creativity Lead on content assets for your classes; drafting slides and commissioning graphic designers or content editors to develop complementary resources Work closely with class trainers and facilitators to refine class content and delivery methods, taking full accountability for user experience Be user-centric and metric-led You believe that the customer is always right You’ll be super keen to track user polling data after every class, and design experiments to improve our product metrics between classes You model and inspire a metric-led and user-centric focus across the product team, speaking to your audience weekly Collaboration and leadership Coach, mentor and develop junior content producers, briefing them on new course titles, reviewing their learning experiences and encourage their curiosity and humility to continuously improve Take full accountability for the learning experience, and work with product and marketing peers to make sure we promote your classes accurately and creatively. You’ll feel energised to hit bookings and customer satisfaction metrics Be willing to step outside of your role; you passionately believe in team work and share ideas willingly across the product team The ideal person Your last boss, friends and peers say you are authentically empathetic You’ve got a track record of understanding a new audience quickly and can predict and meet their learning needs with relevant, high-value course titles You’ve got proven experience in designing a curriculum and developing online, immersive, and interactive learning experiences, preferably in live or cohort-based formats You have a creative, experimental and data-driven mindset - you think there’s no constant blueprint, just new ways to create even better learning experiences You’re an excellent writer and elegant communicator - and can confidently present to an online audience of hundreds You’re a creative content producer - you easily see more engaging or interactive, collaborative ways to deliver information and can work across delivery formats Coaching and team development is something you’ve done before - but don’t worry too much if you haven’t If you don’t meet all of the above but have a genuine interest in joining our team please get in touch - we’d be very happy to chat.
