Job Description JOB TITLE: Data Privacy and Records Manager SALARY: £62,874 - £69,860 LOCATION(S) : Bristol and Edinburgh HOURS : Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. About this Opportunity You’ll be working in a small team of Data Privacy managers in People & Places Divisional Data Hub to support the People Platform and wider division with their change agenda. The Records and Data Privacy advice and guidance you provide is essential to ensure personal data processing is compliant with GDPR and Data Policy. Being constructively curious is a must, there’s a lot of liaison with project managers and change leads to fully understand the nature of the change and assess any risks and controls. There’s a busy agenda The volume of change and the ever increasing desire for data means we need an additional Data Privacy Manager to keep up with growing demand. Your passion for customer service, taking a pragmatic risk based approach to problem solving, regulatory knowledge and prioritisation skills will be put to the test. Your previous risk experience will help you to navigate the necessary Data Policy governance requirements and excellent written skills will help when producing detailed impact assessments. What you'll be doing Partner Change Leads to fully support them through the Privacy and Record Impact Assessment (PRIA) process. Work independently to reach assessment conclusions and apply your knowledge in line with GDPR, document outputs and confidently present findings to stakeholders. Completion of associated governance requirements to support PRIA process e.g. liaison with Group Data Privacy Office, completion of Records of Processing in Collibra system, Updating ServiceNow. Review and recording of personal Data Privacy Breaches and liaise with the business to assess severity and agree any remediation activity. Completion of RCSA Risk and control effectiveness reviews in line with timetables and take ownership of action plans. Lead Records Management Champion, providing SME advice and managing records retention schedules and P&P Records Management Forum. Manage competing tasks through effective prioritisation and organisation to meet challenging project deadlines and maintain customer service levels. Constructively challenge and have confidence to dig into the detail. Critical thinking – Ability to read across breaches, regulator Complaints, regulatory trends to draw conclusions and make recommendations on remediation activities or areas where further Guidance is needed. Experience with RCSA risk and controls governance framework Adapting to Change and Uncertainty - Identify new learning and self-development opportunities. Able to identify, challenge and implement improvement opportunities within the team.
