Overview
Set in the heart of the Blackdown Hills, Somerset. We are currently seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We specialise in seasonal and local foods including some home-grown ingredients. Creating dishes inspired from all over the world with a modern/contemporary twist. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the culinary operations, ensuring high-quality food production and maintaining and exceeding the standards of a 2 Rosette Gastropub.
Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet standards
- Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adherence to hygiene regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry at Rosette or above level.
- Proficient in food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff
- Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous

Live-in is NOT currently available but we do have a static caravan in need of some TLC which could be free accommodation for someone willing to do it up.
