We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen brigade at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The successful candidate will oversee a team of 12 in our award-winning One Square restaurant, managing kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading a diverse kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and service
* Managing kitchen operations, including inventory control, food safety, and sanitation
* Developing and implementing menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality
* Coaching and mentoring junior staff members
* Maintaining accurate records and reports, including food costs and inventory
* Collaborating with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service
* Assessing and improving kitchen procedures and standards
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of experience in a 1 or 2 rosette kitchen environment, with a strong track record of staff development and menu planning.
