As a Head Chef at our home, your role will involve:
* Being accountable for the successful and effective operation of the kitchen, including food production, menu planning, staff management, supplies, presentation/service and record management
* Compliance with quality and safety standards
* Prioritising the culinary experience for our residents, focussing on inclusivity by ensuring all residents can participate in enjoying a varied and high-quality diet prepared in accordance with their individual needs
* Inspiring and mentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain a reputation of culinary excellence within the home

What are we looking for?
* Candidates should be communicative, hard-working and suitably qualified individuals, with excellent leadership skills and significant, proven experience of heading up kitchen environments
* Excellent menu-planning and budgetary management skills are key, as are a good working knowledge of nutrition and dietetics
* City & Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery 7100, Levels 1 & 2, or equivalent and a Basic Food/Hygiene Certificate are highly desirable
* Knowledge of EHO Regulations, IDDSI diets/texture-modified food & dysphagia, HACCP and COSHH are highly desirable
