Our mission drives everything we do - from the technologies we develop to the way we work together. We've built a unique culture where purpose meets technical excellence, and our partners value the difference this makes.
While we operate with a fully remote model for team members based anywhere in England, we maintain a strong sense of community and shared mission and you should expect some travel to St Albans as required for meetings.

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer who can implement scalable data solutions using Azure services, develop robust ETL/ELT processes, and contribute to our data architecture.
Role Overview:
In this key technical position, you'll lead the creation and upkeep of essential data systems that form the backbone of our operations. This role has a genuine social impact with tangible benefits associated with your work; your technical expertise will have a real-world benefit rather than just drive profit for shareholders. You are joining the organization at a time of large-scale change, with Tech innovation at the heart of those changes and fundamentally the entire program is underpinned by Data, not to mention the medium-term vision for AI / ML automation. Expect to be kept busy!
Key Responsibilities:

* Technical Operations: Construct and refine data transformation processes with cloud-based tools. Apply continuous integration methodologies for infrastructure deployment while enhancing automated monitoring capabilities.
Requirements:
We recognize talent comes in many forms; applicants able to display a clear match through vocational experiences and projects without a Degree will of course be welcomed.
The ability to adapt and learn is a key trait we look for as our environment is evolving quickly. Strong communication skills along with the ability to consult with technical and non-technical members of the leadership team or wider organization to produce solutions that are fit for purpose is vital. Though some of your week will be working solo, this role will see you in a highly visible role and to some degree the 'go-to' person for the Data vertical within the company.
* Academic qualification in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience, complemented by cloud platform credentials
* Demonstrated history (minimum 4 years) crafting and executing data-centric solutions on Microsoft's cloud platform and associated analytics toolsets
* Strong proficiency in Python, SSIS, Spark, and SQL with ability to write and optimize complex code
* Experience in implementing data governance frameworks, data modeling, and metadata management
* Proven ability to develop and validate sophisticated data systems within highly-regulated sectors which include sensitive data.
* Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Why Join Us?
