Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee all operational aspects of the Kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
2. Ensure all kitchen staff prepare and present quality food, maintaining the Company's standards for all final products.
3. Ensure compliance with correct food and hygiene standards among all kitchen staff.
4. Lead by example to keep the kitchen presentable at all times.
5. Participate in the recruitment process, including interviews and trials for potential Second Chefs, Trainee Chefs, and Kitchen Porters.
6. Communicate regularly with the Head Chef regarding stock levels.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving stock and equipment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
