Our client are recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Senior Sous Chef, to assist with the kitchen operations, within a busy, fine dining establishment, in the Sidmouth area. Working within a luxury setting, it is essential the successful senior sous chef has experience within a fine dining setting.
As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will assist the head chef in overseeing the smooth running of the kitchen, and would suit someone who is looking for a new opportunity from sous chef to progress their career.
Senior Sous Chef responsibilities will include;
7. Assist the head chef in day to day operations.
8. Manage food costs and inventory control.
9. Maintain excellent standard of food presentation, quality and hygiene.
10. Work closely with front of house team to ensure a seamless service.
11. Manage staff rotas/schedules.
12. Assist in menu development.
Due to the nature of the establishment, the successful candidate will have a passion for providing outstanding dishes and a thoroughly high level of customer service. With the seniority of the position, it is essential the successful applicant has;
13. Strong leadership skills.
14. Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for food.
15. Proven experience at sous/senior sous level.
16. Strong knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
