The role sits on the CUC Leadership Team (LT), contributing to overall CUC strategy, and business improvements, as well as working closely in a matrix team with other functions within and outside of the CUC and GSK. Job Purpose In this role you will Line manage, lead and mentor the recruitment team, including conducting regular 1:1 meetings, ensuring staff create and maintain robust business and personal development objectives, and managing performance. Accountable for panel, advertising and recruitment strategy to ensure effective, timely, efficient and consistently successful delivery of enrolment targets for clinical research conducted at the CUC including: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, investigators, and research nurses, to understand study recruitment needs and timelines, and work closely with key stakeholders to identify and address barriers to recruitment, ensuring strategies are adapted to changing study needs. Monitor and report on recruitment progress, using data analytics, preparing reports and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure timely participant enrolment. Meet regularly with the recruitment team, ensuring Recruitment staff are well-informed on study delivery priorities, CUC projects and objectives. Champion a culture of collaboration, high performance and continuous improvement and encourage a proactive and problem-solving mindset, by evaluating recruitment processes and advertising strategies on an ongoing basis, empowering team members to take ownership of recruitment challenges and implement solutions, ensuring team members are motivated, well-supported and aligned with GSK values. Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations related to clinical research recruitment and advertising. As a member of the CUC Leadership Team, contribute to (and lead on some) overall CUC strategy, objectives and business process improvements. Ensure personal and team compliance with ICH/GCP, GDPR, ALCOA principals, regulatory, ethical requirements, and GSK written standards to maintain high quality throughout the recruitment and advertising process and support inspection readiness. Basic Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, or a related field proven experience and/or knowledge of achieving or overseeing consistently successful clinical research panel / advertising / recruitment. Line management experience and / or supervisory & mentoring experience and / or experience of leading a matrix team. Experience of leading or contributing to initiatives, able to demonstrate enterprise thinking and understanding of business management requirements and processes. Excellent communication, collaboration, organisational and leadership skills within a fast-paced matrix environment. Experience in digital marketing campaigns and / or strategy. Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements and experience working within a GCP environment (or similar). Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply: Line management of a clinical research recruitment team. Proven experience of consistently successfully clinical research healthy volunteer recruitment in a Phase 1 setting. Able to demonstrate understanding of the drug development process, particularly early clinical development, clinical trials requirements and clinical trial terminology.
