The Role
As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of our kitchen. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leadership: Lead, manage, and inspire a dedicated kitchen team, maintaining discipline and fostering a positive working environment.
* Health & Safety: Ensure the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards.
* Food Safety: Oversee all food safety protocols, including accurate labelling, storage, and temperature control.
* Kitchen Administration: Manage essential kitchen admin tasks such as stock control, ordering, rotas, and adherence to budgets.
* Consistency: Execute a well-established menu with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality in every dish.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef in a similar environment.
* Exceptional leadership skills with a no-nonsense approach to team management and accountability.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety, food safety, and compliance regulations.
* Proven experience in kitchen administration, including ordering, stock control, and cost management.
* The ability to thrive under pressure and maintain a calm, professional demeanour in a busy kitchen.
