Are you an HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Evri is seeking a dedicated and dynamic HR Generalist to join our team on a 12 month contract. In this role, you will collaborate with our HR and Hub teams on key projects, process improvements, and HR initiatives to develop and maintain a positive company culture. You will advise Hub teams and provide expertise and support in all aspects of HR to ensure that our employees are well-managed and engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify the root cause of common people issues and work with key stakeholders and hub teams to resolve and prevent.
* Oversee all areas of the employee lifecycle, ensuring best practices to provide a great employee experience for all colleagues.
* With support from the ER team, maintain oversight of ER cases, identify areas for improvement, and train, coach, and mentor Hub managers and supervisors in handling ER cases.
* Advise on appropriate actions to resolve ER cases and support depot managers to be self-sufficient in handling HR issues.
* Implement employee engagement initiatives and work with Hub managers to review them regularly.
* Ensure new managers receive a great induction and training plan.
* Review data such as sickness & absence, attrition, and colleague exit interview responses to identify and advise on areas for improvement.
* Work with Hub Office Managers to ensure that HR records are correct and well-maintained.
* Generate HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and HR strategies.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and followed in line with employment laws.
* Support key change initiatives across the area.
To be successful in this role you will have experience working within a HR role ideally within a warehousing environment, building effective relationships with managers, advising and coaching them on a wide range of HR issues, and an understanding of employment law and its application to HR practices. Experience in a unionised environment, a multisite, fast-paced, cost-focused environment, and a matrix organisation is essential.
Technical & People Skills: You will be proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and have strong commercial, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Well-organised with the ability to manage your own workload and diary.
Driving license is required for travelling to the hubs when required.
Impact & Influence: You will need the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to improve people practices, influence management, use data to identify root causes and areas for improvement, and be a commercial thinker with an eye on costs.
