Are you a passionate pastry chef with a love for creating delicious, kosher treats? Were looking for a skilled Jewish pastry chef to join our culinary team and bring joy to our residents through traditional and modern Jewish pastries!
About the Role:
As our Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for crafting a variety of baked goods, from challah and rugelach to babka and other cherished Jewish treats. Your creations will not only nourish but also provide a taste of home and cultural connection for our residents. Youll work alongside our dedicated kitchen staff to create a comforting and fulfilling dining experience that meets kosher dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, breads, and desserts in line with Jewish culinary traditions.
* Ensure all items meet kosher standards and dietary needs.
* Collaborate with our kitchen team to create menus for holidays and special occasions.
* Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications:
* Experience in Pastry Making: Ideally with Jewish pastries or desserts.
* Knowledge of Kosher Requirements: Understanding or willingness to learn kosher cooking standards.
* Passion and Creativity: For crafting authentic, comforting, and beautiful desserts.
* Empathy and Patience: To work in a care environment with seniors.
